Michael W. Riggs, age 68, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 8, 2023. He was born on May 17, 1955, to Robert D. Riggs and Janet M. Towler. He was raised in Willis with his three siblings, Deborah, Sandra, and David along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends nearby.

After graduating from Lincoln High School in 1973, he began his career with Ford Motor Company - Saline facility. He was a hi-lo driver and retired after 33 years of employment. In July 1983, Mike married Janice M. Jordan and they have two children, Heather and Jon. His family also includes two children, Nathaniel Held and Angela Clark.

Mike will be remembered for the love of his family, numerous lifelong friends, his long hair, Harley Davidson motorcycles, Ford F350 pickups, and his 1985 Chevrolet El Camino. Mike loved 70-80's rock, 420, paranormal tv, Michigan sports, flannel shirts, and his Siberian Husky – Frank. Mike was authentically and wholeheartedly there for those in his life. He would shovel snow, mow lawns, run to the rescue if stranded on the roadside, and provide a helping hand to neighbors, family, and friends. If there was a need – Mike was there and do whatever he could to help.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Robert Riggs, sisters Deborah Jones and Sandra Ford. He is survived by his mother, Janet Riggs, his wife, Janice Riggs, daughters - Heather Riggs and Angela Clark; sons - Jon Riggs and Nathaniel Held; and brother David Riggs. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will occur 1-4 pm Sunday, August 27, 2023 at 8975 Textile Road, Ypsilanti, Michigan 48197.
