Michael "Mike" Buczek age 61, of Ypsilanti MI, passed away on August 10, 2024. Mike graduated from Ypsilanti High School and resided in Ypsilanti most of his life. He was an avid sports lover who played many sports, including football, baseball and hockey. Everyone knew how much he loved University of Michigan Football. You'd never miss him without his U of M hat on! He also enjoyed watching his hometown teams, Detroit Tigers, Lions and Red Wings.

Mike loved his family, playing with his grandchildren and spending time with friends. He always enjoyed a good joke and a laugh. Mike could 'shoot the crap' with anyone who would listen. He loved music, liked to dance and we cannot forget those Disco Saturday Nights at the Suds Factory.

Mike was a certified Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic. His love of the field led him to work at Willow Run Airport for Zantop International Airlines and Kalita Air. He also worked at Detroit Metro Airport and had an amazing experience traveling the world.

Mike had the biggest heart and a large mouth and boy, did he run it!  We miss him dearly and he will be in our hearts forever.

He leaves behind his parents, Eugene and Betty Sue Buczek; Sister, Vicki (Ron) Montgomery; Children, Erica Buczek, Chelsea Buczek and Ryan Buczek; Grandchildren Kristin, Elijah, Maxwell, Matthew and Scarlett; and nieces and nephews Christy, Chase, Madelynne, and Gracelynn.

He was preceded in death by his sister Brenda Bullock, brother Richard Buczek and aunts, uncles, cousins and loved ones.
