Richie, Mary Belle

Age 80, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2025 at Trinity Health Hospital – Ann Arbor. She was born April 3, 1945 in Ypsilanti, MI, the daughter of Leo and Helen (Butts) Butler.

Mary was an avid crafter and meticulous gift wrapper. She loved holidays, especially Halloween, and always made gift bags for her loved ones. She enjoyed bird watching, her variety of soaps, and family cookouts. She loved her church and her cat Mona.

Mary is survived by her children Tony (Lisa) Mann and Wanda Danforth; grandchildren Joseph and Gerald Danforth; Alexis Kamfolt, Sabrina Mann, Catrina and Xylina Fisher; and Amanda Godina; great-grandchildren Bailey, Tommy, Christian, Deaven, Samuel, and Emily; and sister Geraldine Hall.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roger Richie, and siblings John Butler, Cathy Patterson, Ann Reece, and Martha Biggs.

A funeral service will be held 1 pm Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Stark Funeral Professionals with visitation beginning at 11 am. Cremation to follow.
