Hunter, Mary Cecilia

Age 77, passed away November 17, 2022 at her home. She was born December 27, 1944 in Ann Arbor, MI, the daughter of Henry and Mary McPherson.

Mary enjoyed catering and baking, especially cakes. She loved to pontoon on Wixom Lake and a glass of wine with friends. Winters spent with friends at Traveler's Rest Resort in Dade City, FL were always an enjoyment. Above all, she cherished time spent with family.

Mary is survived by her children Garnie (Jennifer) Hunter and Chuck (Andria) Hunter; grandchildren Kirsti (Justin) Luckes, Hannah (Aaron) Straub, Bekah (Justin) Horton, Garnie Hunter, Gavin Hunter and Gage Hunter; great-grandchildren Marlee, Saylor, Cora, Justin and Janet; and brother John McPherson.

She was preceded in death by her husband Vern Hunter (d. 2009), parents, and siblings Chuck McPherson, Mike McPherson, Pat McPherson and Joan McPherson.

A funeral service will be held 1 pm Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Stark Funeral Professionals. The family will receive friends 11 am until time of service. Mary will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery in Ypsilanti, MI.
