Frye, Mary Lee

Ypsilanti, MI

Age 98, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Superior Township, MI. She was born July 20, 1923 in Alexandria, LA, the daughter of Charlie and Ethel (Bettevy) Hutchinson.

Mary was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Ypsilanti as well as the Order of the Eastern Star, Saline Chapter #311.

Mary is survived by her children Howard A. (Jane Smedley) Frye and Karen A. Frye, both of Ypsilanti, MI; grandchildren Sarah Adams and David Lee Frye; and great-grandson Oliver Frye.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Marvin R. Frye.

A funeral service will be held 1:30 pm Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Stark Funeral Professionals with Pastor Mathias Buckson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 1 pm. Mary will be laid to rest Oak Grove Cemetery in Chelsea, MI.
