Braden, Mary Helen

Age 103, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024 in Taylor, Michigan. She was born March 25, 1920 in Betsy Layne, Kentucky, the daughter of Lawton and Jessie (Ratliff) White. She was raised in Kentucky, moved to Ypsilanti, Michigan in 1950 and then on to Daytona Beach, Florida and California before eventually returning to Michigan.

Mary enjoyed crafting and dancing. She was President of the Dance Club in Visalia, California, with whom she danced up and down the valley. A lover of travel, Mary's license plate said "Road Runner."

Mary is survived by her children Joy Roberts (the late Joel), Carolyn Shepherd (the late William) and Betty Osborne (the late Matt); six grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; in addition to numerous loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clay Braden, son Bobby Lynn Braden and grandson Scott Joel Roberts.

The family has chosen simple cremation.
