Schwab, Mary Ann (Czinski)

Ypsilanti, MI

Age 70, died Saturday, September 10, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born July 20, 1952, to Dorothy Heater in Ypsilanti, MI.

She graduated from Ypsilanti High School and went on to attend Washtenaw Community College where she obtained her Associate's Degree in Business Administration. She was a loyal employee of The University of Michigan for 33 years and, even after her retirement in 2014, continued to work as a temporary employee when needed.

She married Andrew "AJ" Schwab March 26, 1974 and together they raised six children.

Mary loved lighthouses, Rod Stewart, the Beatles, and the daytime drama All My Children . She enjoyed painting, photography, crocheting, and cutting her grass. She liked to travel, particularly to New Hampshire.

Mary will be remembered by her family as the one with the camera or video camera in her hand. She loved to capture every moment for her family to cherish. She was also known for her sense of humor and positive attitude, always finding humor or light no matter the situation, and her ability to visualize a project with random items she had stumbled across.

Mary is survived by her husband AJ Schwab, mother Dorothy Heater, siblings Alex (Barb) Czinski, Joe (Maxine) Kubik and Renee (Rick) Osburn; children Michael (Stacey) Schwab, Anna Marie (Tim) Schwab, Cassandra Schwab (Jeff Bacon) Mackey, Christopher (Cindi) Machacek, Cynthia Scott and Jennifer (Rob) Williams; grandchildren Michael, Wesley, Jacob, AJ, Michael, Adam, Tiffany, Nicole, Briana, Hector, Ryleigh, Leah and Colten; and 19 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her adoptive parents Stanley and Mary Czinski, brother Robert Osburn and daughter Leanne Machacek.

A celebration of Mary's life will take place Saturday, September 17, 2022 in Dexter, MI.
