Church, Marjorie Mae

Ypsilanti, MI

Age 86, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Superior Township, MI. She was born September 3, 1936 in Detroit, MI, the daughter of Charles and Mae (Winters) Dawes.

Marjorie attended the Silver Club adult day program for many years. She was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church in Ypsilanti. She enjoyed talking to her children on the phone. She loved her family and her many dogs.

Marjorie is survived by her children Anna Mae (Diaz) Teasley (the late William), Frank Diaz and Ruth Diaz; grandchildren Diana, Brian, Larry, Kevin, Marvin, Angela, Patricia "Pepper", David and Julian; great-grandchildren Cory, Emanuel, Joshua, Vicki, Danielle, Keely, Jada, Jasmine and Diego.

She was preceded in death by her husband Laverne Church, daughter Patricia Mae Loyd and her parents.

A funeral service will be held 11 am Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Stark Funeral Professionals with visitation beginning at 10 am. Deacon Richard Shafer of First Free Will Baptist Church will officiate. Marjorie will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Cemetery in Augusta Township, MI.
