Age 89, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2024. She was born January 16, 1935 in Stone, KY, the daughter of Harrison and Eulah (Trout) Sullivan. On January 16, 1965, she married the love of her life Jake Smith in Ypsilanti and he preceded her in death December 18, 2013.

Margaret was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church in Ypsilanti. She worked at Ford Motor Company, Rawsonville, plant for 30 years, retiring in 1990.

Margaret is survived by two daughters, Billie Jean (Ron) Sturgill of Ypsilanti and Rhonda K. (Will) Keister of Pinckney; two sons, Cleve W. (Paula) Adkins of Kissimmee, FL and Roger Dale (Sherry) Smith of AL; seven grandchildren, Staci (Carlos) Aviles, Kassi (Steve) Martin, Wesley (Catherine) Keister, Christopher (Kathy) Adkins, Chad (Andrea) Adkins, Brandy (Chris) Boyd and Nick (Mindy) Smith; fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, and several nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her husband of almost 49 years, Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters.

A funeral service will be held 11 am Monday, August 26, 2024 at Stark Funeral Professionals with Pastor Joe Kennedy officiating (101 S. Washington Street, Ypsilanti) with viewing beginning at 10 am. Burial will follow in Washtenong Memorial Park, Ann Arbor. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 5-8 pm Sunday, August 25, 2024.
