Mable Genette (Brodie) Maggard, age 86, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 31, 2026 in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Mable was born in Hayti, Missouri on November 28, 1939 to Joseph and Beulah (Fields) Brodie and subsequently moved with her family to Ypsilanti where she attended Willow Run High School. After graduation, Mable attended Cleary College for one year before marrying Jeffro Maggard on August 27, 1958. She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband, daughter, Janet Cunningham, four brothers (JC, Joe, Arnold, and Melvin), and her grandson, Jared Maggard. She is survived by her sister, Violet (Mickey) Johnson, her children (Robert {Sharon} Jeffers, Jeffery Maggard, Joy Maggard, and Jon {Kimberley} Maggard), numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends, and church family.

Mable loved to help people throughout her life, taking great joy in her efforts to fulfill God's purpose for her life. She loved to read, garden, spend time with her family, and was a lifetime member of the Ypsilanti Assembly of God, where she was recognized as the Mother of the Year for her efforts in taking care of not only her own family but also many other families within the church.

Visitation will be held on June 25th, from 2pm-4pm and from 6pm-8pm at Stark Funeral Professionals, 101 S. Washington Street, Ypsilanti, Michigan. Visitation will also be held on June 26th, from 10am-11am, at the Ypsilanti Assembly of God, 701 Holmes Road, Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Service will commence at 11am, June 26th, at Ypsilanti Assembly of God with burial services immediately following at Highland Cemetery, 943 N. River Street, Ypsilanti, Michigan. A luncheon will be held at the Ypsilanti Assembly of God Activities Building (behind the church itself) immediately following the service at Highland Cemetery.
