Thompson, Louis Walter

Westland, MI

Age 82, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, December 26, 2021 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Superior Township, MI. He was born July 8, 1939 in Florence, AL, the son of Charlie Amos and Saint Eva (Boddie) Thompson.

Louis moved to Ann Arbor, MI in 1973. He worked at the University of Michigan League for 21 years prior to retiring in 2010. He enjoyed music, biking, fishing and a good game of checkers.

Louis is survived by his children Freda (Marcus), Eric, Anessa (Dale), Tina, Walter, Demond (Natalie) and Tomicka; 23 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, siblings Charlie B. Thompson, JoLee Rowell, Dorothy McClinton and Geneva Simpson; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Meade Mae, Amos Thompson, Eva Buford and Inez Chandler.

Cremation has taken place.
