Linda J. Slaughterbeck, age 75, of Ypsilanti, MI, formerly of the Bronx, NY, passed away peacefully at her home on August 30, 2026. She was born on February 10, 1951, in Tuscaloosa, AL, the daughter of Clara Mae Williams and John Polk.

She was a woman of many talents and took great pride in creating beautiful things with her hands. Linda was a Master Gardener and found great joy in working with plants and cultivating her garden. She also enjoyed refinishing furniture and cabinets, creating Dutch pour paintings, and making beautiful epoxy tables. A talented potter and mosaic artist, Linda had a natural eye for creativity and enjoyed bringing her artistic ideas to life.

On August 1, 2005, Linda married her beloved husband, Darold Slaughterbeck. Together, they shared many years filled with love, family, and memories.

Linda is survived by her husband, Darold; her children, Corinthians Snider, Charon Snider, James Snider, Cassandra Snider, Gabrielle (James) Albright, and Kirby Snider; and her grandchildren, Joshua Snider, Robert Tubbs, Jamar Tubbs, Ervin Tubbs, Shaquille Tubbs, Sarah Tubbs, Corinthians Snider, Jakobie Pillar, Chakira Pillar, London-Lisa Snider, Aria Snider, Bryce Johnson, Cadence Nichols, Tecumseh Snider, Tauras Snider, Harmony Cartwright, Christopher Albright, Reaghan Albright, Grayson Albright, Maverick Albright, Ian Hays, Jayda Howard, Jenna Snider and Jahniya Snider; and her great grandchildren Romirius Tubbs, Romani Tubbs, Naomi Tubbs, Promise Tubbs, Giovanni Tubbs, Kaelyn Smith, Khyleigh Smith, Samaj Simpson, Jabree Patterson, Ja’Kila Pillar, Jacobie Pillar Jr., Tristan Snider, Khyaire Webster, Kahleil Webster and Mykiya Snider.

She was preceded in death by her children, Charlie Snider and Cynthia Snider; great-grandchild, Tamarion Tubbs and her mother, Clara Mae Williams.

Linda will be remembered for her creative spirit, her love of gardening, and the many beautiful things she created throughout her life. Most of all, she will be cherished by her family and all who knew and loved her.

A visitation will be held from 4-8 pm on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at Stark Funeral Professionals.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday, September 11, 2026, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Ypsilanti, with gathering beginning at 10 am. Following the service, Linda will be laid to rest at United Memorial Gardens in Superior Township, MI.
