Kim (Bahr) Koschalk was born and grew up in Ypsilanti and graduated from Ypsilanti  High School in 1974.  She left for Minnesota shortly after graduation and started her long career in personnel and business administration.  She spent some time in Montana where she honed her investing and financial skills, working with a financial planner.  After returning to Michigan in 1979, she worked at Integrated Financial Strategies and then Retirement Income Solutions as an administrator.

Shortly after her return to Michigan, she met and married Richard Koschalk.  Together they had one son, Eric. Richard preceded Kim in death in 2018.  Kim is survived by her son Eric, her grandson Kenneth Koschalk, and two stepchildren.

Kim and Rick loved to spend time camping with their friends the Bastedos and the Rodabaughs.  They traveled to northern Michigan and Richard's hometown of Toledo.  Boating and fishing became their other favorite hobbies. They traveled to Canada, Lake Saint Clair, and Lake Erie; the entire family benefitted from the fish they caught.

Kim is survived by her two sisters, Jackie (Denny) McLain and Billie Bahr, and numerous cousins and extended family.

There will be a memorial gathering to celebrate Kim's life on Tuesday November 28, 2023, from 4-6pm at Stark Funeral Professionals.
