Kathleen Jene Campbell, a lifelong resident of Ypsilanti, MI, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2025, at Trinity Health – Ann Arbor Hospital at the age of 88. Born on May 5, 1937, in Ypsilanti, Kathleen was the daughter of Edmund F. and Marian H. (Howard) Terrall. She married the love of her life, Robert A. Campbell, on December 14, 1958. They shared a devoted partnership until his passing in 2021.

Kathleen worked in a clerical capacity for the Ypsilanti City Police and Fire Department Retirement Board, serving her community with dedication and professionalism.

Beyond her career, Kathleen was known for her artistry in bobbin lacemaking. She was a passionate and skilled craftswoman who generously shared her knowledge with others—teaching from her home and at Greenfield Village. She was a proud member of the Great Lakes Lace Group and found great joy in preserving and passing on the tradition of lacework.

Kathleen also volunteered her time at the Ypsilanti Historical Museum, where she nurtured her love of local history. She was an avid reader and a lover of African violets and houseplants.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edmund and Marian, and her beloved husband, Robert. Kathleen is survived by her two daughters, Colleen (Terry) Ramsdell and Jene Campbell; and two grandsons, Tyler Ramsdell and Alan Kremkow.

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
