Kandice Donnette Wimberly was born on March 5, 1993 to Harold and Angela Wimberly in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

She was educated in the Willow Run School district until 2007. She attended Holmes Elementary School. At Holmes her teacher was Adrienne Quinn for the second and fourth grade. She was not just her teacher but someone who became family and remained in her life. Kandice attended Washtenaw Technical Middle College for ninth and tenth grade. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 2011.

She loved people and enjoyed helping others. She chose a career where her gifts could be used. She studied Occupational Studies and Human Resources Management at Washtenaw Community College. God blessed her to be employed by Advanced Medical Solutions and she was promoted to management before she became ill.

Kandice loved the Lord! She attended the same church her entire life, Christian Love Fellowship Ministries. She always said she was blessed to not only be raised by Christian parents at home, but that they were also her Youth Pastors at church. She attributed her strength and faith to her parents. At Christian Love she was a member of the STOMP youth ministry, Emmanuel Praise and MSOG. This was so important to her because it allowed her to praise God and have fun. Kandice would say, you can have a Holy Ghost party up in here and have fun at church. She met some of her best friends at church! As an adult, she became an administrative assistant and content creator for the church.

Kandice loved being a mother. She took pride in being a mother. Aniyah and Jace meant the world to her. She would say - God gave her exactly what she needed in those two. They were her joy and her heart. When you saw Kandice, you saw her children. She was a fantastic Mom. She protected and provided for her babies. Yes, she always called them her babies.

Kandice loved her family and she loved being with her family. Family game nights, birthday parties, holiday gatherings and movie nights were so much fun to her. When they were all together, she always had the best time! They often called her the songbird because she loved to sing. She was pretty funny and she had the best sense of humor. She would laugh at herself over some of the crazy stuff she would do. The family never knew when she was going to break out in a dance. Kandice and her sisters would have random routines and would laugh at each other. Her parents taught them that family is everything. Her and her sisters made unbreakable bonds and they always supported each other and their children.

She was active in the community and she was active in social media groups that help others. She always did her best to uplift others. No matter how she felt, she wanted to know how to help someone else. She never met a stranger. Kandice was kind and nurturing. She had a gentle and peaceful spirit. Her Love for others, her meekness and strong faith was what people saw, when they were around her. She was a social butterfly.

One of her favorite things was Marvel. She enjoyed all Marvel movies and every character. She enjoyed reading, singing, attending concerts, movies with her babies, worship music and sharing what she read to encourage others. As much as she loved everyone, she loved God more. Kandice was a worshipper, an exhaulter. Her faith was tested so much in the past years by her illness. No matter how she felt physically, her faith never wavered! She trusted God. Even when she didn't understand it, that's when we saw her trust God more. She would say. It is all a part of the process and the journey. She spent countless months and weeks in the hospital over the past years and yet, she still trusted God!

Kandice loved and lived a life of faith here on earth, and on January 1, 2025, she got a new address and moved to her new home in heaven. Her grandparents, Douglas and Bertha Harding preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories with her beautiful children, Aniyah and Jace. Her parents Pastor Harold and Angela Wimberly; her two sisters, Brittney and Kayla Wimberly; her grandparents, Harold Wimberly Sr. and Jeanette Turner. One nephew, Dante; four nieces, Ariyanna, Aaliyah, Amaya and Akiyah; three God children - Jamil, Liam and Eva Dream; one Godbrother - Dante and one Godsister, Destini; and a host of Aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.

A funeral service will be held 11 am Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Christian Love Fellowship Ministries International (1601 Stamford Road, Ypsilanti). Family hour will begin at 10 am. Kandice will be laid to rest in Washtenong Memorial Park, Ann Arbor Township.
