Lott-Racine, Judith Sharron

Ypsilanti, MI

Age 81, went home to be with the Lord Monday, May 15, 2023 at Trinity Health Ann Arbor Hospital. She was born November 9, 1941 in Detroit, MI, the daughter of Ishmael and Johncia (Sims) Lott.

Judith worked as a social worker for the State of Michigan, retiring after 37 years at the Ypsilanti State Hospital. In her free time, she enjoyed attending and watching University of Michigan football and basketball games. She liked horror films and a good based-on-a-true-story movie. Judith loved to garden, caring for plants and flowers, and listening to Mahalia Jackson. She treasured time spent with her friends. She was a member of the Moose Lodge, American Legion and Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority.

Judith is survived by her son Donald Robert Racine Jr., sister Brenda Flood, nieces Judy Flood-Edwards and Carol Flood-Chatman; and best friends Deanna Cemazar and Lisa Saul.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son Nathan Charles Racine.

A graveside service will be held 1 pm Thursday, June 1, 2023 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Ypsilanti. Pastor John White will officiate.
