Croff, Joyce Anne (Wilson)

Age 88, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023 in Ypsilanti, MI. She was born December 15, 1935 in Ypsilanti, MI, the daughter of Herbert and Josephine (Lechlightner) Wilson. Joyce graduated from Ypsilanti High School in 1954 and shortly after married her high school sweetheart, Kenny Croff.

After giving birth to their three daughters, Joyce entered the workforce and became a career woman. She worked for Morrie Green of Green Jewelers until the business closed. She then began working in management for many jewelry chains throughout the following years. She was a consummate salesperson, knew and loved her merchandise, and reached Diamontologist status.

Joyce was a proponent of the arts and actively involved in Ypsilanti Community Theater, Ypsilanti Community Choir and Ypsilanti Chamber of Commerce.

Joyce is survived by her husband Kenneth Croff, daughters Juanita (Brett) Carpenter and Kendra Croff; grandchildren Katie Anne (David) Holcolm, Edward Joel (Beth) Carpenter, Rachel Lynn (Bill) Gaskil, Sarah Jane (James) Bates, James Andrew (Corey) Simpson, Karen Marie Simpson, John Scott (Lily) Manley and Kayla Ann Drobil; 15 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Lenora Rathbone and daughter Linda Joyce Croff.

A funeral service will be held 11 am Friday, December 29, 2023 at Stark Funeral Professionals. The family will receive friends 9 am until time of service. Pastor John White will officiate. Joyce will be laid to rest in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Ypsilanti.
