Elliott, Joyce Ann

Age 73, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024. She was born July 26, 1950 in Elliott County, KY, the daughter of Luther and Jewell (Mayes) Reynolds.

Joyce worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Chelsea Retirement Community for 40 years, until her retirement in 2019. She was a parishioner of Ypsilanti Free Methodist Church. Joyce loved watching Lifetime movies and the game of Bunko. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and attending flea markets and crafting shows. She was a big fan of Bill's Hot Dog Stand and Olive Garden. Joyce enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, traveling with friends and talking on the phone with Nina Lou and Wanda.

Joyce is survived by her son Denzil (Dawn) Gray, daughter Sandra Gray (Daniel Girouard), stepsons Joseph Elliott and Brad Elliott; stepdaughter Kristy (John) Grow, sisters Evalena Reynolds, sisters Aubrey Whitt and Nina Lou Lewis; brother Guy V. (Barbara) Reynolds, and grandchildren Morgan, Patience, Ashley, Danielle, Lauren, Jenna, Kiersten, Blake, Tyler, Willow, Jory, Alexia and McKenzie.

She was preceded in death by her parents Luther and Jewell Reynolds; sister Lorene (Fred) Carter, and brothers Elmo (Juanita) Reynolds and Emery Lee Reynolds.

The family has chosen simple cremation.
