Age 92, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2024 in Ann Arbor, MI. She was born November 21, 1931 in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Thurman and Gladys (Kuhl) Walters.

Joy enjoyed dancing, cooking and baking. She was a member of New Life Bible Baptist Church in Ypsilanti and truly loved her church family.

Joy is survived by her children Suzanne Virag, David Croghan, Kathleen (James) Vigne and Janet Novak; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles, her parents and two sisters.

A graveside chapel service will be held 3 pm Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Cadillac Memorial Gardens West in Canton, MI.
