Joshua Charles Horton, age 45, passed away on October 30, 2025, with family and friends by his side at Michigan Medicine Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

He was born on April 2, 1980, in Houston, Texas, to Dale and Lorna (Viers) Horton. For 22 years, Josh was a dedicated and valued employee at Golich Glass in Brighton, Michigan, where he also made his home.

Josh loved being outdoors—taking walks, camping, and gardening. He especially enjoyed living on the lake with his girlfriend and their two cats. A lifelong music lover, his favorite band was The Grateful Dead. He also enjoyed vintage shopping, exploring garage sales, and spending time with friends and family. Josh had a gift for conversation—he talked to everyone—and his big smile and memorable stories will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his longtime girlfriend, Jill Neuens; daughter, Syklar Horton; aunt and uncle, Linda and Tim Joye; uncle and aunt, Gary and Sherry Frazier; great-aunt, Nancy Marshall; and several cousins and many friends.

Josh was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Lorna; stepfather, Bill Vroman; grandparents, Asie and Christine Viers & William and Gladys Horton; step-grandmother, Thelma; aunt, Debbie Devine; and uncle, Charles Viers.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering will take place 3-8 pm on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Stark Funeral Professionals, Ypsilanti.
