Heard, Joshua "Josh" Michael

Age 48, passed away suddenly December 18, 2024 in Ann Arbor, MI. He was born October 20, 1976 in Ypsilanti, MI, the son of Michael Heard and Kathleen MacDonald.

Josh was an employee of Casey's Tavern in Ann Arbor for 17 years. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with friends, playing Dungeons & Dragons, reading and cooking. He also loved a good, vigorous debate. He always looked forward to the annual family canoe trip down the Au Sable River.

Josh is survived by his mother Kathleen Perry of Ann Arbor, MI; brother Ed (Leah) Perry of Midland, MI; brother Don (Cathy) Perry of Ypsilanti, MI; in addition to several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Michael Heard, brother Greg Perry, paternal grandparents Robert and Patricia Heard; and maternal grandparents Donald and Patsy MacDonald.

A memorial service and dinner will be held 2-6 pm Sunday, February 2, 2025 at Phoenix Lodge #13 (5752 Whittaker Road, Ypsilanti). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your local Meals on Wheels in honor of Josh's generous spirit.
