Elliott, Joshua Michael

Ypsilanti, MI

Age 44, entered the black lodge at home peacefully January 17, 2025. He was born August 15, 1980 in New York, NY and spent most of his life in Ypsilanti.

Josh enjoyed a lengthy career as a bartender and chef. He was a master of shit posting and storytelling. He enjoyed cussing out cops, punching Nazis, protesting and being a medic for justice and equity seekers. He loved to travel and explore but, above all, he most treasured making memories with his son, Woodburn.

Josh is survived by his wife Krystalynn Elliott, son Woodburn Elliott, brother Treston "Scottie" Lucas, sisters Ashlynn Gross and Jessica; and a host of found family and friends.

Visitation will be held 1-9 pm Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at Stark Funeral Professionals (101 S. Washington Street, Ypsilanti) with cremation to follow. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Thank you to The Blind Pig/8 Ball in Ann Arbor for their assistance.
