Jose Marcos Banuelos

April 15, 1953 – May 24, 2022

On Tuesday, May 24, 2022, Jose Marcos Banuelos passed away at the age of 69.

Marcos was born on April 15, 1953, in Jerez Zacatecas, Mexico to Jose Cid Banuelos and Juanita Banuelos Caldera. He is survived by his wife Lorenza (Aguirre), his two children, Jose Marcos Jr., and Christina, and his three grandchildren, Emily, William, and Kaley.

Marcos is a beloved brother to Eva, Rosa, Faustino, Imelda, Alfredo, Virginia, Isidero and Mavy Banuelos. He was preceded by death by his parents.

Marcos was a humble and kind man, who deeply loved his family. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He loved traveling to Mexico to visit his family, including his nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was a man of great faith and was thoughtful of others. He will be remembered for his affectionate hugs and wonderful laughter.

Marcos worked at General Motors for 36 years. He loved to tell jokes and stories. He also loved to be outdoors; he enjoyed biking, swimming, and planting a garden every year. Marcos was proud of his Mexican heritage and enjoyed Mariachis music.

Visitation will be held 4-8 pm Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at Stark Funeral Professionals in Ypsilanti, MI. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at 11 am at the funeral home. Marcos will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery in Ypsilanti, MI.
