Age 53, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2024 in Belleville, MI. He was born December 6, 1970 in Ypsilanti, MI, the son of Talmage and Carol (Deacons) Hicks. He married Lynda Parson July 22, 1995 and she survives.

Johnny worked as an electrician at Liebherr for 23 years. An avid Hot Wheels collector, Johnny was a major car enthusiast who loved his 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air. He enjoyed wrestling and bowling. He was very proud of his children and adored his cats.

In addition to Lynda Parson-Hicks, Johnny is survived by his daughter Emaline Hicks, son Jonah Hicks, parents Talmage and Carol Hicks; nephews Travis Matts, Zachary Summerville and Wyatt Summerville; sister Rhonda Summerville, special uncle Buck Cornett, cousins Tim (Kim) Cornett, Marty (Cyndi) Cornett and Tammy (Ronnie) Taylor; Chester and Sandy Parson who considered Johnny a son; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his aunt Shirley Cornett, maternal grandparents Ed and Emaline Deacons; paternal grandparents Alka and Hattie Hicks; Papa John Sizen, Edwin "Eddie" Earl Stark, and several aunts and uncles.

The family will receive friends 4-8 pm Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Stark Funeral Professionals (101 S. Washington Street, Ypsilanti). A funeral service will be held 11 am Friday, September 20, 2024 at the funeral home with visitation beginning at 9:30 am.
