Taylor, John Franklin

Ypsilanti, MI

Age 67, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at his home. He was born August 28, 1956 in Clarksdale, MS, the son of Frank and Mavis (Gentry) Taylor.

John enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching football. He loved his outdoor toys – four wheelers, trucks and snowmobiles. He also liked to play poker and pool but, above all, he treasured time spent with his family.

John is survived by his wife of over 22 years, Christine Taylor; children Sunny (Eric) Miller, Josh (Rebecca) Taylor, Amanda (David) Hatfield, Crista (Darren) Long, Elizabeth (Nick) Conner and Alissa Olson; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and brother Michael (Karen) Taylor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Sandy Taylor, great-grandson Kaden Silcox and first wife Robin Taylor.

A funeral service will be held 1 pm Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Stark Funeral Professionals with visitation beginning at 11 am. Reverend Lester J. Mullin will officiate. John will be laid to rest in Highland Cemetery, Ypsilanti.
