Gleason, John Edward

Age 75, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2024 at his home. He was born March 3, 1949 in Detroit, MI, the son of Frank and Mary (Cockren) Gleason.

John worked as assistant director of plant building services at the University of Michigan for 30 years prior to his retirement in 2011. In his free time, John enjoyed watching sports of all kinds, especially football. He was an avid reader who loved mysteries, fantasies and thrillers. He most treasured time spent with his grandchildren.

John is survived by his loving wife Terri Gleason, sons Frank Gleason and Michael (Domonique) Gleason; grandchildren Rihanna Gleason and Makaylah Gleason; and sister Barbara (Calvin) Fletcher.

He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Mary Gleason, and sister Margaret (Bob) Marten.

A visitation will be held at Stark Funeral Professionals beginning at 3 pm Thursday July 11, 2024 with a memorial service to follow at 5 pm.
