Wilson, Jessie Lee

Ypsilanti, MI

Age 80, went to be with the Lord, his wife of 59 years and two sons Sunday, December 19, 2021 surrounded by family. He was born September 28, 1941 in Maben, WV, the son of Ward and Louise (Bowers) Wilson.

Jessie enjoyed his church family and service to them as a minister even after he retired. He especially loved fishing with his grandson Alex.

Survivors include his sons Ken and Michael, daughter-in-law Janet and grandsons Jonathon and Alex.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Ruth and sons Keith and Timothy.

A funeral service will be held 11 am Monday, December 27, 2021 at Ypsilanti Missionary Baptist Church (7180 S. Huron River Drive, Ypsilanti 48197) with Pastor Joe Kennedy officiating. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 10 am that day. Jessie will be laid to rest in Cadillac Memorial Gardens West in Westland, MI on Tuesday, December 28, 2021.
