Ann Arbor, MI (Formerly of Ypsilanti, MI)

Age 82, passed away Monday, August 14, 2023 in Ann Arbor, MI. He was born August 4, 1941 in Bradley, AR, the son of Van and Ivie (Silkwood) Holder.

Jerry enjoyed fishing and spending time with friends and family, especially his grandkids. He was a member of the Ypsilanti and Belleville Fraternal Order of Eagles. He retired in 2004 following 44 years at the Ypsilanti Ford Motor Company plant.

Jerry is survived by his children Van (Denise) Holder and Michael (Kimberly) Holder; grandchildren Breeda, Robert, Katie, Mike, Kendra, Ian Givens and Sara; great-grandchildren Brynn, Vivian and Valerie; and siblings Dorothy Meade, Larry Holder and Diane Szmansky.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Teresa Vincent, and brothers Don Holder and Wayne Holder.

A funeral service will be held 3 pm Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Stark Funeral Professionals. Pastor Gordon Moore will officiate. The family will receive friends 11 am until time of service.
