Jeanne Elaine Fugate, age 65, of Willis, MI, went home to be with the Lord on April 14, 2026 with her beloved daughter by her side. She was born on September 24, 1960, in Ypsilanti, MI, to Phillip D. Fugate and Bernice A. (Ward) Skarsgard.

Jeanne was known for her caring nature and love for the simple joys in life. She had a deep fondness for animals and found happiness in caring for them. She enjoyed hockey, spending time outdoors, swimming, and getting lost in a good mystery or classic scary movie. She also had a fondness for old-school music, dancing, and especially treasured time spent with her family and her cherished dog, Chloe.

She is survived by her mother, Bernice A. Skarsgard; daughter, Amanda C. Gray; son-in-law, Tom H. Mufareh; granddaughter, Christina H. Mufareh; sister, Anne M. Riggins; brother, Robert D. Fugate; sister-in-law, Lisa Fugate; and her longtime companion, Billy J. Gray.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her father, Phillip D. Fugate, and step-father, Tollef "Sandy" Skarsgard.

The family has chosen simple cremation and no services are planned at this time.

Jeanne will be remembered for her warm heart, her love of family, and the joy she found in everyday moments.
