Age 68, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023 in Livonia, MI. She was born November 13, 1954 in Ypsilanti, MI, the daughter of Allen and Bonnie (Fisher) Babcock.

Jean loved camping, crafting, traveling and going on cruises, especially to Alaska. She adored dogs. After retiring from Ford, Jean really enjoyed her second career as a bus driver for Saline Schools.

Jean is survived by five children, Murl Thomas "Tom" Mitchell of Saline, Matthew Jason Layne of Belleville, Kelly Ann Mitchell of Marquette, MI, Emily Katherine Mitchell of Los Angelas, CA, and Paul A. "Andy" Mitchell III of Nashville, TN; brother Murl (Teresa) Babcock, nephews Mike Babcock and Chris Babcock; and niece Melissa Babcock.

She was preceded in death by her husband Paul and her parents.

A graveside service will be held 3 pm Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton Township, MI.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of Huron Valley .
