Age 93, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at her home. She was born January 5, 1930 in Ypsilanti, MI, the daughter of Elmer and Rena (Marken) Rice.

Janet enjoyed traveling, painting and planting flowers. She loved country music and dancing. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need and was a wonderful support system for others.

Janet worked at Detroit Diesel for over 20 years and Argus Camera for 20. She married Frank Seibert May 13, 1973 in Clintwood, VA, and he survives.

In addition to her loving husband, Janet is survived by her children Sandy Chapman, Jim (Linda) Riddle, Diane Riddle, Denise Riddle and Donna (Butch) Quinn; sister Cora Hubbard, 14 grandchildren and many great- and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Sherry Thomason, brothers Thomas, Charles and Kenneth Rice; sister Cleo Varney, grandchildren Kimberly, Joshua, Hannah, John and Faith; and great-grandson Kenneth.

A funeral service will be held 11 am Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Stark Funeral Professionals with visitation beginning at 10 am. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 2-6 pm Monday, March 20, 2023. Janet will be laid to rest at Union-Udell Cemetery in Ypsilanti Township, MI.
