Warren, James "Jim"

Ypsilanti, MI

Age 87, passed away Monday, March 25, 2024 at his home. He was born February 27, 1937 in Louellen, KY, the son of James and Nola (Keeton) Warren.

On February 18, 1955 he married Elizabeth Ann Penley in Virginia and she preceded him in death on October 30, 2012. Jim worked at United Airlines for 30 years as a ramp service supervisor. He belonged to the Amateur Trap Shooting Organization, the Henry Ford and was a longtime volunteer for the Yankee Air Force. One of his favorite pastimes was visiting Calder Farm with family and friends.

Survivors include his children James Danny Warren, Robin (Keith) Reed and Russie (Terry) Ruthford; grandchildren Jason, Clay, Clarissa "Sissy" and Connor; great-grandchildren Andrew, Luke, Lily, Lance, Logan and Clara; and sister Margaret Tow.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering will be held 11 am-1 pm Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Stark Funeral Professionals (101 S. Washington Street, Ypsilanti). Military honors will be performed at 1 pm following a brief toast. Inurnment will be in Alban Cemetery, Ypsilanti Township.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Humane Society of Huron Valley .
