James Seidl, age 91, was born in Detroit, Michigan to Joseph and Julia (Koczak) Seidl. At the age of five, he moved to Ypsilanti, Michigan. He graduated from Ypsilanti High School in 1952. From there he attended classes in college, but his true passion was track. He joined the United States Army and fought in the Korean War. After the war, he worked for the United States Post Office. He retired in 1992 after 35 years of employment.

In 1967, he married the love of his life Bonna (Anglebrandt) Seidl. They were married for 10 beautiful years before her untimely passing. His passions include bowling, softball, and track. He had a love for watching the Detroit Tigers and Lions. His true passion was helping people. He was big in the community and was well loved. He was a dedicated father and grandfather.

James Seidl passed away peacefully at home. His memory is cherished by his sons Steve and Gregory Seidl, granddaughter Amanda Seidl, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers Eugene and Joseph Seidl; and sisters Delores Allen and Rose Miller.

Visitation will be held at Stark Funeral Professionals, 101 S Washington St., Ypsilanti; Wednesday, August 27, from 10 am to 11 am. A Funeral Service will follow the visitation and will begin at 11 am. Burial at Highland Cemetery, 943 N River St., Ypsilanti MI, 48198, will follow.
