James "Kelly" Jarvela
August 8, 1971 – October 4, 2025

James "Kelly" Jarvela, age 54, passed away with his sisters by his side October 4, 2025, in Canton, Michigan. He was born August 8, 1971, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, the son of Stephen and Susan Kearly.

Kelly was athletic throughout his youth, enjoying both baseball and football. He was a devoted fan of WWE and cherished time spent with his family. He was often lovingly referred to as "the youngest old man you'd ever meet" before drinking his morning coffee.

He is survived by his siblings Shelly (William) Jeffrey, Kim (William) Roberts, and Stephen (Karen) Kearly; nieces and nephews Cory, Trista, Sheree, Kalah, William, Andrew, Caleb, Bryson, Marklin, Lilianna, and Emily; his uncle Jerry (Jill) Jarvela; and many cousins, great-nieces, and one great-nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Stark Funeral Professionals, Ypsilanti, with visitation beginning at 10 am. Viewing will also be held 6-8 pm Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to C.S. Mott Children's Hospital .
