Flanary Sr. James P.

Ypsilanti, Michigan

Age 78, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022. He was born August 4, 1943 in Derby, Virginia to Robert and Frances (Saylor) Flanary.

James is survived by his daughter Ann Marie (Mark) Dunivant, twin sons Tommy Lee Flanary and Timmy Ray Flanary;  son James Press (Elizabeth-Ann Marie) Flanary Jr., daughter Amanda Lynn (Anthony Barcenas) and son-in-law Omar Acosta; grandchildren Nathaniel Dunivant, Mariah Dunivant (Parsons), Zachary Brockette, Ashley Flanary, Lexi Flanary, Andrew Flanary, Dallas Flanary, Keryn Flanary, Kara Flanary, Russell Tackett Jr. and Deven Tackett; and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Christine Flanary, parents, daughter Christine Francis Acosta, his sister Ann "Bootsy" Hill and brothers Danny Ray, Dallas and Pete Flanary. Visitation will be held Monday, February 7, 2022 from 11 am until time of service at 1 pm at Stark Funeral Professionals. Burial will follow at Union-Udell Cemetery Ypsilanti Township.

James will be greatly missed but his love for the Lord carries on with the legacy of his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and the many lives he touched while walking on this Earth.
