James E. Baber, born October 14, 1983, died September 3, 2023. James is now looking down over us! He is survived by his soulmate of 20 years Katie Baber, son Jacob E. Baber (11), daughter Ella E. Baber (5), mother Sharon Bentley, father Alfred Baber Sr., sister Peggy Cote, and brothers Charlie (Roberta) and Al (Desire') Baber. James was preceded in death by step-father Steve Bentley, brother-in-law Rick Cote and by James and Katie's Angel Baby. James loved to tinker with anything he could get his hands on, but the position he loved dearest was being a Dad. James always enjoyed being with kids and making them smile, off roading, working on cars, and hunting and fishing when he could. The family will receive friends 2-7 pm Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Stark Funeral Professionals, Ypsilanti. Per the family's request, please do not send flowers.
