Age 75, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2023 at his home. He was born May 13, 1947 in Ypsilanti, MI, the son of Hubel Sr. and Tessie (Cook) Freeman.

Hubel enjoyed playing softball, golfing and bowling. He liked watching and attending University of Michigan football games. He was a caterer for many years and was a very gregarious person.

Hubel is survived by his wife of 40 years, Joyce; son Hubel "Tres" Freeman III and brother Craig (Linda) Freeman.

He was preceded in death by his brother Marvin L. Freeman.

Visitation will be held 4-8 pm Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Stark Funeral Professionals (101 S. Washington Street, Ypsilanti). A funeral service will be held 11 am Friday, May 19, 2023 with visitation beginning at 10 am at Ypsilanti Church of Christ (1070 E. Cross Street, Ypsilanti). Burial will follow at Alban Cemetery.
