Howard Melvin Jordan, age 83, made his transition on May 29, 2026, at Monroe Springs in Monroe, Michigan. He was born on March 5, 1943, in Grayson, Caldwell Parish, Louisiana, to Jacob and Rosie Lee (Hodge) Jordan. He later made his home in Ypsilanti, Michigan, where he resided for many years.

A dedicated and hardworking man, Howard was employed by Ford Motor Company and worked at the Rawsonville plant until his retirement. On July 25, 1964, he married the love of his life, Maybell (Page) Jordan, in Ecorse, Michigan. Together they built a family and shared many years of love and companionship.

Howard leaves to cherish his memory his three sons, Eric (Tonya) Jordan, Terrance Jordan, and Troy (Felycia) Jordan; grandsons, Antwan Brown and Trace Lewis; granddaughters, Jasmine Jordan, Erika Jordan, and Jaylen Jordan; great-grandson, Jordan Boykins; great-granddaughter, August Scott; nieces, Donna Bow-Cook and Lea Gleson; nephew, Derrick Bow; and many additional great-grandchildren; along with a host of extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Maybell Jordan.

Howard's family will receive friends 4-8 pm Friday, June 12, 2026 at Stark Funeral Professionals (101 S. Washington Street, Ypsilanti).

A funeral service will be held 11 am Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Strong Tower Ministries with Pastor Mike Rosier officiating (134 Spencer Lane, Ypsilanti). Family hour to begin at 10 am.  Howard will be laid to rest at United Memorial Gardens in Plymouth, Michigan.

Howard's legacy of hard work, devotion to family, and enduring strength will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.
