Baker, Henry

Age 87, passed away Monday, August 22, 2022 in Linden, MI. He was born April 4, 1935 in Corbin, KY, the son of Tom and Ella (Johnson) Baker.

Henry was a great man who treasured time spent with family. He loved going on vacations, especially trips down South. He enjoyed coin collecting, dining out and playing games. Bingo, Uno and Rook were a few of his favorites. He liked picking up pop bottles and cans.

Henry is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Wilma (Hutchison) Baker; children Anita (Jason) Marcum and Paul (Theresa) Baker; grandchildren Joshua Marcum, Justin Marcum, Destinee Baker, Paige Baker, Dani Baker, Peyton Baker, Blake Kubiny, Areail Kubiny and Victor DiNoto; great-granddaughter Elliona DiNoto; and brother William Baker.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Azalee Rains, Ledford Baker, Hub Baker, Dora Terrell and Willie Baker.

A funeral service will be held 11 am Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Ypsilanti Baptist Temple with visitation beginning at 10 am (1325 E. Cross Street). Brother James Clay will officiate. The family will receive friends 5-8 pm Friday, August 26, 2022 at Stark Funeral Professionals (101 S. Washington Street, Ypsilanti). Henry will be laid to rest at Union-Udell Cemetery in Ypsilanti Township, MI.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Parkinson's Foundation .
