Asadian, Glenda (Crabtree)

Ypsilanti, MI

Age 73, passed away peacefully with hospice on Saturday, April 23, 2022 in Wixom, MI from complications of emphysema. She was born April 11, 1949 in Clintwood, VA, to Melver and Mae (Bullion) Crabtree, the third of five daughters.

Glenda graduated from Clintwood High School in 1967. Shortly after graduation she married and moved to Richmond, VA. They had two sons, Rodney and Anthony Sweeney.

Life took a twist and she ended up in Ypsilanti, MI in the early eighties where she met and married Ray Asadian. Together they had two sons, Daniel and Chris Asadian.

Even though Glenda worked a few odd jobs here and there throughout her life, her main passion was to be a housewife and mother. Glenda enjoyed watching Detroit Tigers baseball and listening to her music. She also loved talking on the phone and reminiscing about the past.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Betty (Crabtree) Greear of Clintwood, VA, Patsy (Crabtree) Allen of Copperas Cove, TX, and Sandra (Crabtree) Hopson of Clintwood, VA.

Glenda is survived by four sons, Rodney and Athony Sweeney of Providence Forge, VA, and Daniel and Chris Asadian of Ann Arbor, MI; sister Donna (Crabtree) Hall of Ypsilanti, MI; six grandchildren, Anthony "Tony" Sweeney Jr., Chris Sweeney, Abigail Coloń-Montgomery, Lila Sweeney, Liam Sweeney and Kayla Luellen, all of Charles City, VA; ten great-grandchildren; former husband Ray Asadian; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

A committal ceremony will be held 11 am Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Marble Park Cemetery in Milan, MI.
