White, Gary Douglas

Saline, MI

Age 80, passed away Monday, May 16, 2022 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Superior Township, MI. He was born February 16, 1942 in Detroit, MI, the son of Douglas and Erma (Wickert) White.

On March 21, 1964, Gary married Constance Hedberg in Port Huron, MI, and she survives. He worked as a systems operator at Ford Motor Company for 36 years prior to his retirement in May, 1998.

Gary loved to play golf, fish and spend time up north. In his younger years, he was an avid hockey player. He was known to be an awesome deck builder and an excellent cook. Gary enjoyed drawing and painting, and regularly made homemade cards for family members. Above all, he loved spending time with his grandkids and all of the family dogs.

Gary is survived by his wife Connie, daughters Julie (Todd) Harmon and Pam White, both of Saline, MI; as well as grandchildren Joshua Harmon of Clay, MI, Ashlee (Nick) Howes of Dexter, MI, and Kaylee Harmon of Manchester, MI.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
