Age 78, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2022 in Livonia, MI. He was born December 13, 1943 in Ypsilanti, MI, the son of Donald Smith and Irene Strine.

Garry is survived by his son Jeffery (Michelle) Smith, daughter Kristen (Jason) Sinkiewicz, grandchildren Jennifer Smith, Brandon (Molly) Smith, Alyssa Smith, Nathan Sinkiewicz and Kelsey Sinkiewicz; great-grandchild Sadie, and several siblings.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Smith, parents Donald (Edith) Smith and Irene (Donald) Strine; and daughter Lynn A. Smith.

A funeral service will be held 12 pm Friday, July 1, 2022 at Stark Funeral Professionals (101 S. Washington Street, Ypsilanti) with Pastor Keith Geiselman officiating. The family will receive friends 10 am until time of service. Garry will be laid to rest at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton Township, MI at a later time.
