Taylor, Fred Douglas "Doug"

Ypsilanti, MI

Age 45, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 23, 2022. He was born August 18, 1976 in Ypsilanti, MI, where he made many lifelong friends.

Doug could befriend anyone and brightened every room he entered. He enjoyed life and people gravitated toward him. He always had a smile on his face. If you knew Doug, you loved him. He loved his family first and foremost.

From a young age, Doug loved anything with wheels. He liked getting his hands dirty and working with motorcycles. He enjoyed painting them and making them pretty. He was recently promoted to mechanical technician at his job and he was very excited about it.

Doug is survived by his parents Lynn Taylor and Fred (Tammy) Taylor; daughter Dezarae Mercedes Taylor, wife Jennifer Taylor, siblings Dionis Forrest, Angie Taylor, Demi (Carl) Ross and Franklin Jermaine Taylor; his grandchildren, nieces and nephews including Keiandre, Carter and Devyn; his dear cousin Peter, and many others.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Alexander and Norene Piluras; paternal grandparents Tillmon and Elsie Taylor; and brother Michael Taylor.

A funeral service will be held 11 am Friday, July 29, 2022 at St. John Missionary Baptist Church (866 Monroe Street, Ypsilanti) with visitation beginning at 10 am. Reverend Dr. James E. Hendricks will officiate. The family will receive friends 5-8 pm Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Stark Funeral Professionals (101 S. Washington Street, Ypsilanti). Doug will be laid to rest at United Memorial Gardens in Superior Township, Michigan.
