Forest William Geesey, age 87, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025. He was born May 19, 1938, to the late Forest F. and Ethel M. (nee Keirl) Geesey, in Ypsilanti, MI.

Before Forest's retirement, he dedicated his career to both Farmer Jack, where he proudly served as Head of Stock, and as a Floor Monitor at Woodland Roller Rink. A lifelong lover of the outdoors, he found joy in hunting, fishing, and whittling—creating little works of art from wood. He also had an inventive mind and held patents for several of his creations. He had a love for the classic tunes of The Lawrence Welk Show and could often be found watching Shark Tank or 60 Minutes . When he wasn't watching his programs or listening to the radio, he was busy "fixing the world." Forest had a heart full of love for his family, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Forest is preceded in death by his siblings, Janet Gray, Judy Wilson, and Jimmy Geesey. His grandparents, Frank and Laura Geesey, who he remembered fondly. Also preceded in death by his grandmother, Hazel Keirl. He is survived by his children, Dawn (Todd) Lewis and Forest W. Geesey Jr. Loving grandfather of Steven Lewis and Christina Lewis. Forest also leaves behind his great-grandchildren, Shelby (Hunter) Cadle; and great-great grandchild, Tucker Cadle.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Stark Funeral Professionals, officiated by Robert T. Lewis. Visitation will begin at 10 am. Burial to follow at Union-Udell Cemetery in Ypsilanti Township.
