Evil Delois Hill, age 82, of Van Buren Township, Michigan, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2025. Born on July 21, 1943, to William "Pete" Hill and Elnola White, Evil was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend.

Evil spent her working years dedicated to serving others. She was employed in housekeeping at the Red Roof Inn and later in security at Henry Ford College. Her work ethic, reliability, and kind demeanor were valued by all who knew her.

She resided throughout her life in Belleville, Detroit, and Highland Park, Michigan, as well as Mississippi, where she formed lasting bonds within her community. A faithful member of Healing Spring Missionary Baptist Church in Highland Park, Evil took great joy in attending services, always dressed impeccably for worship, a reflection of her love for both faith and fashion.

In her leisure time, Evil enjoyed listening to gospel music, completing puzzles and shopping —activities that brought her comfort and happiness.

Evil is lovingly remembered by her children: Linda (Sherman) Callahan, Tony (Ceresta) Hill, Kathy Hill, and Jacqueline Hill. She is also survived by her siblings: Rufus (Teresa) Buchanan, Kennie (Wilma) Buchanan, Priscilla (Kennie) Johnson, Mavis Poindexter, Cynthia (Willie Floyd) McIntosh, Michele (Wayne) Long, and Della (Willie) Hooper. She leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her adopted sister, Odessa Mathis; and her beloved children, Pearlean Hill and Maurice Hill.

A funeral service will be held 12 pm Friday, October 3, 2025 at Healing Spring Missionary Baptist Church (12647 Hamilton Avenue, Highland Park). Family hour to begin at 11 am. Evil will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery, Detroit.
