Edwards, Evelyn A.

Age 91, passed away Friday, February 3, 2023 at St. Mary Hospital in Livonia, MI. She was born April 19, 1931 in Ypsilanti, MI, the daughter of George and Dorothea (Huston) McDonald.

Evelyn enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and crafts of all kinds. She loved to sing and treasured time spent with family. She was longtime member of Ypsilanti Assembly of God, where she sang in the choir. She was also part of Music Makers, a community singing group.

Evelyn is survived by her children Jane Spires, Bobbie (Rick) Bowling, Jeffrey Adkins, Monica Witter and Thomas (Aicha) Adkins; seven grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands Thomas J. Edwards, Roy C. Adkins and Wilbur J "Bud" Hassett; parents and siblings Helen Clark and David McDonald.

A memorial service will be held at 1 pm Monday, February 20, 2023 at Ypsilanti Assembly of God. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ypsilanti Assembly of God: 701 Holmes Road, Ypsilanti, MI 48198.
