Ellen Kay (Keller) Huxley was called home to the Lord on Sunday, June 12, 2022 , surrounded by family, friends, and her cherished dog, Cow.

Born to Bonnie and Marvin Keller in 1953, Ellen was a lifelong Ypsilanti resident and a proud retiree of Eastern Michigan University. She married childhood family friend Gregg Huxley and together they raised their three boys. She was blessed with 12 grandchildren who were one of the greatest joys of her life, one great-grandchild, and one grand-dog who accompanied her everywhere.

Ellen was preceded in death by her beloved parents Bonnie and Marvin Keller; mother-in-law Isabel and father-in-law George Huxley; and brother-in-law Jim Martin.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Gregg Huxley, son Dean (Dana) Reeds, stepsons Gregg Jr. (Kelly) Huxley and Samuel (Nawal) Huxley; sister Sue Martin, grandchildren Mackenzie (Ben) Case, Alexandra Reeds, Noah Huxley, Allison (Christian) Lesko, Baileigh Huxley, Samuel Huxley Jr., Lydia Huxley, Tanner Reeds, Sidney Huxley, Shelby Huxley, and Isabella Reeds; great-granddaughter Everleigh Case, and many nieces and nephews.

A private memorial for close friends and family will be held later this summer.
