Clausel, Elizabeth Ann

Ypsilanti, MI

Age 87, joined her loving husband, Mack, in Paradise Monday, January 31, 2022. She was born April 9, 1934 in Meally, KY, the daughter of Ledford and Eula (Childers) Powers.

Elizabeth wed William "Mack" Clausel March 21, 1961 and they enjoyed 60 loving years of marriage prior to his passing in 2021. She retired from Washtenaw County Community Mental Health.

Elizabeth treasured spending time with her family and beloved chihuahua, "Chloe Jean the Mean Machine." She loved Disney movies and collected them all. She enjoyed getting her nails done and watching all kind of television programs.

Elizabeth is survived by her brothers David (Faye) Powers of Belleville, MI, and Scott (Joy) Powers of Clinton, MI; son Joe Tucker of Woodbury, MN; daughters Anne Bauerle of St. Petersburg, FL, Karen (Mike) Smith of Ypsilanti, MI, and Janis (Robert) Dutton of Citrus Springs, FL.; grandchildren Jessica (John) Norring, Emily (Matthew) Hessel, Andrew Clay, Jennifer (Ernie Franco) Tucker, Anthony (Chelsea Glugla) Tucker and Justin (Jennifer) Smith; and great-grandchildren Jacob Lambides, John, Jayden, Jackson and Jocelyn Norring, Halston and Declan Hessel, Noah Birk, Kendrick and Kaiden "KG" Mourning, Myah Smith, Jacob and Jordyn Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother George Herman Powers, sister Phyllis Jean Barnett, sons Anthony Tucker and Barry Clausel, and granddaughter Ryan Smith.

Due to unsafe conditions related to COVID-19, there will be no funeral service. When warmer weather arrives, there will be a celebration of Elizabeth at the family home.
