Age 87, passed away Friday, February 4, 2022 at her home. She was born April 7, 1934 in Lake City, MI, the daughter of Arthur and Fern (Hilts) Riggs.

Elinor enjoyed doing puzzles, especially dot to dot puzzles. She loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and dogs Binky and Sunshine.

Survivors include two children, Doug (Mary) Egbert and Cheryl Hayes; three grandchildren, Delonda Griffin, Brittany Hayes and Donovan Hayes; seven great-grandchildren; Jordan, Christopher, Amaya, Darius, C.J., A'Nhyla and Kaeleya. One great-great grandchild Kaisen and siblings Joy Beil, Lewis Riggs and Carol Riggs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gerald Egbert, son Gerald Egbert Jr., siblings Doris Lawson, Joan Durgan, Marvin Riggs, Elwin Riggs, Royal Riggs, Marjorie Avery, Carolyn Hunley, William Riggs; and son-in-law Oscar Hayes.

A funeral service will be held 1 pm Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Stark Funeral Professionals with Pastor John White officiating. The family will greet friends 11 am until time of service. Elinor will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery in Ypsilanti, MI.
