Age 80, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 31, 1941 in Brighton, MI, the daughter of Marion and Florence (Gredus) Fielder.

Elaine enjoyed camping, needle point and scrapbooking. She loved spending time with her adoring family. She worked as a secretary for eight years and then became a homemaker after marrying the love of her life, Clayton A. Cook Sr., in Wayne County on March 17, 1967.

Elaine is survived by her husband of 55 years Clayton A. Cook Sr., son Clayton A. (Cricket) Cook Jr. of Ypsilanti, daughter Laurie (Brian) Sisson of Florida, daughter Dena (Jeff) Kercher of Cadillac, daughter Amy (Rick) Kemperman of Ypsilanti, and son Steve (Monika) Cook of Brooklyn, MI; sisters Mildred Bennett of Ypsilanti and Norma Bastian of Blissfield; 11 loving grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Herbert Fielder, sister Nancy Fryman and son Craig Cook Sr.

A funeral service will be held 12 pm Friday, July 22, 2022 at Stark Funeral Professionals (101 S. Washington Street, Ypsilanti) with visitation beginning at 10 am. Pastor John White will officiate. Elaine will be laid to rest at Hillside Cemetery in Belleville.
